Background

Populus sells something genuinely new. Twenty percent of physician visits are now virtual, which has quietly removed most of the face-to-face access pharmaceutical brands built their commercial models around. Populus's answer — messaging delivered inside the virtual consultation itself, with 1:1 attribution — is unfamiliar enough that the site's first job is comprehension, not persuasion. A buyer who does not understand the mechanism cannot evaluate the offer.

Scope of work

Messaging and structure

Opened on the market shift rather than the product, using the 20%-of-visits statistic to establish why the problem exists before naming the solution. Broke the platform into three named products — HCP Reach, Custom Care, Virtual Care Media — so an unfamiliar category becomes three concrete things a brand team can price.

Search visibility

Built the Newsroom and Insights sections, including the Virtual Care in America report, as the authority layer for a category that barely has search volume yet — the play is owning the terminology as it forms.

Design and build

WordPress and Elementor build with Google Site Kit, structured so the team publishes press releases, reports, and Q&A content without developer time.

Outcome

A site that teaches the category before it sells the product, with three named products giving an unfamiliar platform concrete shape.

Populus was left with a site that teaches before it sells, which is the right shape for a category that did not exist a few years ago. Three named products give an unfamiliar platform something a brand team can actually price, and the newsroom and report sections let Populus keep defining the category's vocabulary as it forms.
